In the coming 2017 assembly election, Mohanlalganj will witness a keen contest among BJP, SP and BSP which currently holds the seat. BJP candidate from Fatehpur Sikri Babulal Choudhary had secured a lead of 37828 votes over his nearest SP rival Rani Pakshalika Singh in the Fatehabad assembly segment in 2014.
